Study on Injection Molding Process Simulation and Process Parameter Optimization of Automobile Instrument Light Guiding Support

In the present study, Moldflow® software is applied to simulate injection molding of automobile instrument light guide bracket and optimize gate position. this regard, Taguchi orthogonal experimental design adopted, five processing parameters, mold temperature, melt cooling time, packing pressure, are considered as test factors. Moreover, volume shrinkage warping amount quality evaluation indices. Then range analysis variance carried out obtain optimal combination parameters with rate warpage amount. The grey correlation was used analyze results warping. Based on performed simulations, it found that maximum in 6.753% 1.999 mm, respectively. According process meets requirements.
